Tom Dewhirst has been running Additions, a successful café and sports bar in Fleetwood, Lancashire for the past 4 years. His loyal customer base has seen him through many challenges over recent months, drawn in by the friendly, relaxed environment with darts, pool and big screens showing all the top games but when a well known branded bar opened close by he knew that even his most devoted fans would be inquisitive - that's why he turned to Moy Park Foodservice and their Easy Pickings Menu for help...

With the new menu customers could choose from a menu offering; 'Pick Your Team' with a range of popular sharing platters including The Big Share with Garlic Mushrooms, Buffalo Wings, Tempura Mixed Vegetables and Chick 'n' Ferno wings, served with a range of dips, or Pick Your Own with burgers and wraps featuring Moy Park Foodservices' Battered Hot & Spicy Chickwich Steak, Crunchy Chick 'n' Mini Fillets or succulent Bean Burger. All dishes provided the ultimate in one-handed snacking perfect for watching the game with a pint while appealing to the younger audience which could be attracted to the competition.

Tom found the menu simple to put together using the Moy Park Foodservice range with the addition of a few stock items from his kitchen like mayo, buns etc. And with Tom busy behind the bar and his wife running the kitchen almost single-handedly simplicity was critical and it was essential that the products were easy to use. "The entire range of products we used from Moy Park Foodservice were great as they could all go in the deep fryer making them really simple to use and ready in minutes - it made it easy for us to serve our customers quickly and all the feedback told us that they consistently tasted great"

With an increase of around 10% on food sales plus increased wet sales over the trial period Tom is definitely an Easy Pickings fan and Additions regulars will be seeing a lot more of the menu over the coming months.
